In recent years, families across Nepal have looked to South Korea as a place where their children can study, work and build a future. Hetauda is no exception, and one name now comes up often when local students talk about that journey: Toddle Multipurpose Company, a School Road consultancy that has made Study in Korea its main focus since it was founded in December 2018.

Most education consultancies in Nepal spread themselves across many countries. Toddle went the other way and specialised. Students who walk through its doors usually begin with one goal: a place at a Korean university, or a passing score on the Korean language exams that open the door to opportunities in Korea. The consultancy’s services are built around that goal. It guides students from their first counselling session to the day they board a flight to Korea.

Led by a Korean language expert

The company is led by its founder and CEO, Madhab Sapkota. He holds TOPIK Level 6, the highest level of the Test of Proficiency in Korean, and teaches Korean himself. Few counsellors in the region have that level of language training. Sapkota is also Nepal Country Representative of World DAGACHI, a Korea-based global communication platform for foreign residents in Korea. He serves as General Secretary of the Ankur Nepal Hetauda Committee, an organisation of Korea returnees. His long links with Korea’s language, institutions and Nepali community there shape how Toddle advises its students.

He teaches alongside senior Korean language instructor Heera Tamang Syangtan, and an administrative team handles admissions, documents and student follow-up.

A complete Study in Korea pathway

Toddle’s Study in Korea programme covers the whole process. Counsellors help students choose universities and courses that match their academic background, budget and career plans. They then manage admission applications and student visa files across the main categories: D-2 degree programmes, including D-2 Code, D-2 E-visa and the D-2 Regional Visa, and D-4-1 and D-4-7 Korean language programmes.

Paperwork is often where Nepali applicants run into trouble, so the consultancy spends much of its effort there. Staff help prepare financial documents, statements of purpose and ward recommendation letters, and they coach students for university and embassy interviews. Before departure, students attend a pre-departure orientation covering life in Korea, from housing and part-time work rules to cultural expectations in the classroom.

Korean classes that set the standard in Hetauda

Language training sits at the centre of Toddle’s work. Its Korean classes in Hetauda prepare students for TOPIK I and TOPIK II, the exams many Korean universities require. They also prepare candidates for EPS-TOPIK, the Korean test for Nepalis seeking employment under Korea’s Employment Permit System. Classes follow a structured curriculum and include regular UBT-style mock tests modelled on the computer-based exam. The consultancy also posts lessons and model tests on its YouTube channel and offers downloadable study books on its website, so students can keep practising outside the classroom.

Beyond Korea

Korea is Toddle’s specialty, but it also helps students heading elsewhere. It offers Study in Japan counselling and student visa support, Japanese language classes for the NAT, J-CERT and JFT-Basic exams, and IELTS preparation for students aiming at English-speaking destinations.
